GSK Ulverston

April 2016 – May 2016

During Spring 2016, CfLP worked with the GSK Extended Leadership Team (ELT) to develop their leadership capacity. As senior leaders the ELT need to:

  • establish and role model the leadership approach needed to create a high performing culture within GSK at Ulverston.
  • take responsibility for GSK succession planning and ensure a pool of talent for the future leadership of the site.

The development programme began with internal 360 degree feedback, followed by a launch event and then a high impact, development focused two day residential leadership development workshop.

Participants on the programme reported great value from attending the workshop. The main benefits so far have been:

  • Reflecting on style and with the help of feedback, increasing impact
  • The strengthening of working relationships with peers within the business
  • The identification of development needs to link with internal business planning
  • The articulation of a 'vision for personal leadership'
  • The establishment of an action learning set to support ongoing individual and organisational development
