Managing Mental Health and Wellbeing at Work

This workshop gave an introduction to the most common mental health conditions, their symptoms and impact and sources of support. Delegates learned about managing stress, its link to mental health, both preventative and reactive strategies and identifying appropriate sources of support for staff. There was an introduction to the HSE Stress Factors, how to use them to audit work based practices, and whether they enhance or aggravate mental health issues. Delegates had a practice session on how to talk about mental health with their employees.
