DESCRIPTION:Location: Cockermouth  \n\n\n\nCommitment Time: 1-hour session on the 17th July  \n\n\n\nWhat is ProjX? \n\n\n\nAn innovative place-based work awareness programme that offers students the opportunity to work with a range of businesses\, across a range of sectors and SMEs\, on exciting multi-disciplinary projects. It gives an insight into the range of leadership roles and skills needed to deliver against any professional project whilst providing opportunities for businesses to seek young people’s ideas and gain new perspectives on key challenges. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVolunteering Opportunity: \n\n\n\nAs part of the ProjX work experience week\, each Student project team will plan and lead a meeting involving professionals from different businesses.We are looking for volunteers to take part in these student-led meetings. You do not need to have a specific specialism. \n\n\n\nBusiness professionals are invited to attend the 20-minute meetings with each project team. In a typical ProjX week\, there may be two or three consecutive meetings. The volunteers do not need to prepare anything but come willing to listen and share advice and give feedback to the teams on their meetings. \n\n\n\nThe aim of this activity is for the students to demonstrate their understanding of how to prepare and lead an effective business meeting. This provides an opportunity for the students to not only engage in and experience a real business function\, but also to generate feedback and suggestions to support their project. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat are the benefits for your business? \n\n\n\n\nConnect and develop essential skills in your future workforce\n\n\n\nGain exposure across multiple channels\n\n\n\nHelp more students gain valuable work experience\n\n\n\nRaise the profile of your business\n\n\n\nAttract and retain your future workplace leaders\n\n\n\nDevelop employees’ key leadership skills and increase their productivity and motivation\n\n\n\nWhat are the benefits for your business?\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow else can you get involved? \n\n\n\nFund or support a session. DESCRIPTION:ProjX | Sit in on a student led presentation  \n\n\n\nLocation: Lakes College with Energy Coast UTC students \n\n\n\nCommitment Time: 1-hour session during the programme runnin \n\n\n\n\n18th June @ Lakes College\, Lillyhall\n\n\n\n\nOpportunity: \n\n\n\nAs part of the ProjX work experience week\, each Student project team will plan and lead a meeting involving professionals from different businesses.We are looking for volunteers to take part in these student-led meetings. You do not need to have a specific specialism. \n\n\n\nBusiness professionals are invited to attend the 20-minute meetings with each project team. In a typical ProjX week\, there may be two or three consecutive meetings. The volunteers do not need to prepare anything but come willing to listen and share advice and give feedback to the teams on their meetings. \n\n\n\nThe aim of this activity is for the students to demonstrate their understanding of how to prepare and lead an effective business meeting.
