Week 1
Team name: Bee Patrol
Tell us what you have been doing this week
This week we talked about what a business is and what kind of business we wanted to have. We decided as a team that we wanted to protect the bees and how we could do this with Sue's help. We all voted on our team name and designed our logo.
What did you learn this week?
We learned what a logo is by looking at other logos and what a business is. Sue talked to us about what a pollinator is and how we can help protect bees and trees.
What did you find difficult this week?
We found it challenging to decide on a team name and what kind of business we would like.

Week 2
Tell us what you have been doing this week
We worked together to plant lots of different flowers with Sue. We loved it! We helped make letters to send out to get free things (donations) to help us.
What did you learn this week?
We learned plants need water, soil, and light to grow. Sue said we needed to water the plants a lot.
What did you find difficult this week?
It was tricky to write the letters for free things (donations).
Week 3
Tell us what you have been doing this week
We had a look around our school garden and found lots of minibeasts living there. We worked together to mix soil and wildflower seeds to make our seeds. Some of us had a go at making lots out of clay.
What did you learn this week?
We found out how to make wildflower seed bombs by mixing soil and wildflower seeds. We learned the word habitat and minibeasts. We counted how many ladybirds we found.
What did you find difficult this week?
We found it challenging to shape the clay into pots.

Week 4
Tell us what you have been doing this week
This week we talked about recycling so we decided to make paper seed bombs. We all worked together as a team to rip the paper into small pieces.
What did you learn this week?
We learned about all about how to recycle paper.
What did you find difficult this week?
We found it tricky to rip the paper, some of us wanted to use scissor instead.
Week 5
Tell us what you have been doing this week
This week we ripped up more paper to make our bee bombs. We mixed the ripped paper with water and mashed it altogether. We squeezed out the extra water and added some wildflower seeds. We rolled the mixture into balls and left them to try.
What did you learn this week?
We learned that we added water to paper it makes it mushy and easy to mash up and roll into balls.
What did you find difficult this week?
We found it takes a long time to rip the paper and roll it into balls.

Week 6
Tell us what you have been doing this week
This week we made posters, a price list and some instructions for our bee bomb sale. We got very messy making seed bombs out of soil.
What did you learn this week?
We learned that we need to let everyone know about our sale. We tried really hard with writing our signs.
What did you find difficult this week?
We found it tricky to write some of the words for our posters, instructions and the price list.
Week 7 - half term

Sue helped us to make some tyre planters

We worked together to sell our seed bombs.
Week 8
Tell us what you have been doing this week
This week we invited parents and wider community to come to our bee bomb sale. We were really excited to get customers to buy our bee bombs. We have started planting flowers in the tyres that were kindly donated by Long and Smalls garage.What did you learn this week?
We learned how to count the money from our customers and how to talk to different people. We learned about how to care for different plants.What did you find difficult this week?
