Week 1
Team name: Tie-Shirts
Tell us what you have been doing this week
As a group,we thought of our business. We listened to each other's ideas then voted for our favourite.
We made a logo with vector drawings on google drawings.
We made a name called tie- shirts
We found out that you could get a tie dye set for nine pounds ninety nine p for forty t-shirts.
We would sell tie dyed shirts for 10 pounds for a t-shirt with a positive message.
We ordered t-shirts, the dye kit and transfer paper. These cost £50.
What did you learn this week?
How to vote and talk about ideas.
How to find out about prices of things.
What did you find difficult this week?
Deciding which project to vote for. Mine wasn't picked but that's ok because we are going to make t-shirts.
Week 2
Tell us what you have been doing this week
We decided who was going to play what role in the business out of sales ,Finance, Procurement, manufacturing ,Project management, advertising/marketing, quality control and Website/IT. We had visitors from the Procurement Department of BAE Systems Barrow. they showed us a powerpoint about what they do and how they build submarines. Lots of the information is secret so they couldn't tell us everything.
Our t-shirts and dye arrived and we tested it
We designed the business logo and wrote a slogan that can be used on all of our advertising.
What did you learn this week?
We leant that there are lots of different departments within one business. We learnt about the different types of submarines built in Barrow.
What did you find difficult this week?
We found making the website difficult.

T-shirts at Dalton day!
Week 8
Tell us what you have been doing this week
We haven't been very good at updating the page! We have been very busy though. We have made and sold lots of t-shirts, making £185 in total (including the original £50). We still have a few t-shirts left to sell. We are planning to give half of the money to St. Mary's Hospice and use the other half to buy more supplies. Some people wanted t-shirts in sizes we didn't have left so we would like to make those. we enjoyed our visit from Sarah and it was good to be able to give feedback on the project. What did you learn this week?
We took part in the inaugural 'Celebrate Dalton Day' parade. We asked that children dress in bright colours. Lots of the children (and a few adults!) decided to wear their Tie-shirts t-shirts. Everyone looked great! What did you find difficult this week?
