Week 1
Team name: Marvellous Creations
Tell us what you have been doing this week
This week we got to work with our business and we met Alex, Issy and Yvonne. They brought us notebooks and pens for our projects. We talked about what a social enterprise was and we started to share ideas about what we would like to do for our business. Some of us had already written down some ideas at playtime as we were excited.
We worked in groups to come up with an name for our business and Marvellous Creations won.
We came up with things we could sell to raise money and the £50 arrived in a gold enevelope. We passed it around as we'd not seen one before. We chose the sell rocky pets.
What did you learn this week?
We learned that we must vote on ideas and acceot the final decision. We learned to work in a team and make sure everyone had a chance to speak.
We met our BAE helpers and listend to what they told us about the project and their jobs in BAE. We learned about a big rnage of jobs at BAE too.
What did you find difficult this week?
Some people found it hard when their group name or product wasnt picked and got a bit moody.

Tell us what you have been doing this week
This week we put our skills on a piece of paper and gave it to the BAE team. We also wrote our first and second picks for our jobs/roles. We picked our project managers by a vote and Isaac, Farron and Spencer won the vote. We learned what the jobs did and what the united nations sdgs were and if our project was suitable for one of them.
What did you learn this week?
For this week we learned what jobs were envolved and what jobs were like in BAE systems.
What did you find difficult this week?
We found it difficult to pick a job as people wanted a particular job and there wasnt enough roles to everyone to have their first choice

Week 4
Tell us what you have been doing this week
This week we found out our roles and started them.The finaces team found accessories for the rocky pets. We started drawing our logo and we are going to vote on the best one and the winner is going to be our logo for our rocky designs for our company. We wrote our business plan with BAe and then split into groups so we could spen time with our mentors. The production team began designs with Yvonne, the marketing worked with Alex, the finace team worked with Issy and the secretaries worked with Mrs Ward. The MDs made sure everyone knew what they we doing
What did you learn this week?
We learned our jobs for our business and we stated our roles and found out what we are doing for the next couple of weeks. We leanred how to write a business plans too
What did you find difficult this week?
This week has been really good but making sure everyone knew what they were doing was hard
Week 5
Tell us what you have been doing this week
This week the managing directors went shopping to B&Q, and The Range to buy the supplies we needed to make the rocky pets. The manging directors got a 50% discount there bought a hot glue,pipe cleaners,pom poms and googly eyes.
We also started to paint our rocks ready to decorate
What did you learn this week?
We learned how much the rocks and the other equipment that the manager directers bought from the shops with Mrs Ward cost. We learned how to ask for the manager to ask for a discount. We learned to report back the finances.
What did you find difficult this week?
We found painting the rocks and making the posters with bubble writing and funky colors hard. The rock paint wouldnt dry or the paper towels stuck. The quality of the products needed reviewing

On the day of making the rocky pets we made rocks with silly hair and expressions. For the first selling day we didnt do that well but on the second day they sold like hot cakes. We set up a table by the school back gate and did an assembly for school to advertise them. We have sold nearly 100 so far and are fidning it hard to make them quickly
What did you learn this week?
We learnt that simple ideas were better than original ideas because people got a bit carried away and most people were just coming up with random ideas. We also think maybe our prices were a bit cheap.
What did you find difficult this week?
This week we found keeping good qaulity to our rocky pets difficult. even when we were copying from the internet and adding random stuff that doesnt make sense. People were just making theyre own idea

Week 8
Tell us what you have been doing this week
On the final selling day of trading, the production team started to finish the rocks, the finance team got with Issie and counted the money and finished the bugdet sheets. The MD`s started cropping and taking photos for our big video on the last day. The secretaries started to finish the final blog, "hi". The marketing team were doing the dojo post for our final selling day to get some last minute customers. The MD`s were starting the book on book creator that had all the videos and pictutres from our journey on Bright Stars and how fun it was trading/selling our rocky pets.👍
What did you learn this week?
We learnt that the medium rocks sold more than large and small. We also learnt that deadlines are important we had to work as a team and really hard on the last week. We learnt how to be orginised.
Overall, we learnt how important Bright Stars was and how creative some of our shy class mates can be.
What did you find difficult this week?
We found writing this blog difficult because of how much we did in the 8th week we have done. The fiance team found writing down the receipts difficult. The design team found drawing their rocks.

This week we have been filming our video and Isaac has been outting together our slideshow. Finace have coubnte the final money and calculated our profit. What did you learn this week?
The finance team learned how to complete the spreadsheet and calculate profit applying what Izzy had taught them. o listen to each other and let each person have a say. We have also leanred to commincate so each person knows what is going on
What did you find difficult this week?
We have struggled to create only 2 minutes of video as everyone wanted to say a lot. We found patience hard while witing to record our video.

The business is great and working with BAE has been really useful to the children to see real life learning but it is an extraordinary amount of workload. The children have really understood what an effective business model looks like and worked as a team.
