Our Top Tips for Experienced Managers
Last week, we shared our top tips for new managers. This week, we’re excited to bring you…
Our top three tips for experienced managers:
- 1. Embrace New Perspectives: As a experienced manager, it’s easy to rely known methods. However, the best leaders continuously seek out new ideas and approaches. Challenge yourself to consider different perspectives and innovative solutions.
- 2. Cultivate Self-Awareness and Empathy: Great leaders understand themselves and others. Reflect on your strengths and areas for growth, and actively develop your emotional intelligence. By doing so, you’ll be better equipped to motivate and connect with your team on a deeper level.
- 3. Action Over Definition: What leadership is can be difficult to define… Ask 2 or 3 people and you will get at least 3 different answers. But asking what leaders do, is a bit easier. Instead of focusing on what leadership is, focus on what leaders do. Sean McPheat’s exercise provides actionable insights into the behaviors that define effective leadership.
