Decided to clean up beaches and local rivers, sow seeds to attract more wildlife, build birdboxes for birds. Gets more people involved within the community to help the environment and encourages getting people into fresh air.

Had to change lots as we can't get a bus from college and no one will help with making bird boxes

We spoke to mentor Jacquie on Teams. We told her about the new name change and our plans. We watched Dragons Den so we got ideas how to pitch.
The then set a plan and deadlines and allocated roles.
We wrote our campaign plan which and how we are going to spend our money .
Ann spoke to her manager to remind her to send in the form re the financial details for the college.

this week we have been making birdfeeders out of:
cans
plastic bottles
milk bottles with a stick through for them to perch on
pinecones by covering in birdseed and fat
we liaised with the estates team about setting up a stall next week (2nd of December)
measured out compost
started making garden bags
waiting for the brown bags and envelopes to be delivered: to put seeds in for the garden bags
bought coconut fat instead of lard, using it to stick seeds to pinecones
made posters to advertise the stall and put round college
an email was sent to all staff advertising the stall
collected marketing materials from Eden Rivers Trust

We set up our stall with all our homemade items, plus some books from Eden River's Trust.
We made (once everyone pays their IOUs): £123.90

We were filmed this week for a short video for the Leading Change celebration event.

We wrote down what schools and nurseries we want to donate surplus stock to. We then organised the goods and books into piles of 5. We have decided to use some of our funding to buy RSPB Bird ID books to give to each school. This will coincide with the RSPB Garden Watch 23-25 January 2026. We have drafted an email to be sent out next week.
