Location: Cumberland
Salary: £22,600.24 – £51,048 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: 16 hours 15 minutes per week
Contract: Permanent

About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Music Teacher (Brass) to join Cumberland Music Service, a Local Authority service delivery area within Cumberland Council. The role is offered on a centrally employed teacher basis and is available permanently.

The successful candidate will primarily deliver brass tuition across a range of educational settings, working with whole classes, small groups, and providing one-to-one lessons. Depending on location, the role may also involve contributing to the development of Carlisle Music Centre and supporting after-school performances and progression opportunities.

While not essential, it would be desirable for the successful candidate to also offer additional instruments such as recorder or ukulele to whole classes and/or support choir activities.

Pay and Conditions

Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience, ranging from Unqualified Teacher Status to UPS3, and will be paid in accordance with Standard Teachers’ Pay and Conditions.
