Tell us what you have been doing this week

We have been discussing about our group - what we are doing. We came up with a group name and ideas for what we can do. We shared our homework ideas and then we joined most of them together to get our idea.
Our idea is to have a community fair in our school hall.

Week 2

Tell us what you have been doing this week

We went through all the jobs and decided who is doing all the jobs.
For some of the jobs more people wanted them so we had to do a speech to see who we should vote for.

What did you learn this week?

The logo has to be spot on say our marketing team.

Week 4

Tell us what you have been doing this week

the design team was designing the blocks for our enterprise fair. The finance team was looking at the highest and lowest budgets. The business plan team has worked with all the teams to make sure it was all running smoothly. Customer Service team we were filling in sheets and coming up with ideas for stuff. Marketing team looked at laptop to make a logo.
we made a timeline to see what day is what and what we need to do each week up to the fair.

What did you learn this week?

how to do the teams, how to do the business plan. what we are going to do when. which stalls we will do.

What did you find difficult this week?

designing the toys, what they should look like and what to put on them.

Week 5

Tell us what you have been doing this week

The finance team has been working on their finance plan. People have been deciding on recipes for what they will make for our fair - we printed them out so we can buy all the ingredients that we need and give them out for people to make their cakes or sweet stuff. The design team were designing the blocks - they decided what they will do and will record on a cube plan so production can start. Marketing team worked on posters for advertising and deciding where they will be put up. A date was decided for the fair.

Money - understanding the money matters spreadsheet,
Looking for and choosing a good design that we all liked for our blocks.

Applied to Pirelli for sponsorship - and have been accepted!!
Made a shopping list for Mrs Birch to get the ingredients for our baking for the fair.
Continued with design for the blocks.
Made posters to promote our fair

Dishing out the ingredients for all the wonderful baking we will do to sell.

Week 8

Tell us what you have been doing this week

getting the ingredients for our baking. making posters for the school to tell them about our fair. Sorting through all our donated books and toys for our preloved stall so we know all the thing to sell are in good condition, we then sorted them into KS1 and KS2 ready for the stall. We made posters for our stalls with prices on.
The business plan was drafted, so was the finance plan and the marketing plan. we planned a leaflet drop in the village, but couldn't go because we didn't have enough adults to come with us.

What did you learn this week?

the importance of marketing and how we need to keep doing it to make sure people will know about our event and come. how to price things to make sure we make a profit. how to use sponsor money to buy stock to sell to make proft.

What did you find difficult this week?

getting the right prices, not to charge too much so people won't buy but enough to make some money. saying the right things in our plans to be included in the final report.

Week 9

Tell us what you have been doing this week

We were getting supplies and getting ready for our fair. One group worked together to finalise our baby blocks. The rest made posters to advertise what was on our stalls and how much things cost. The bakers made all the cakes to sell at home and brought them in the day of the fair.
On the day, we made lemonade to sell on a stall. We warmed up the mulled wine. We organised the classroom so all the chairs were at the sides, the tables were used for the stalls: Egg stall, cake stall, lemonade and mulled wine stall, book stall, toy stall, baby blocks and woollen mats stall. Lots of people came

We learned how to bake. we learned how to make lemonade. We learned how to take money and give change. We learned how to do business and sell stuff. We learned how to be a shop keeper. We learned to be kind to our customers. We learned how to manufacture and organise stock,

What did you find difficult this week?

Helping people find the right thing or what they wanted. Running out of stock when things were still wanted. handling so many customers because it was so busy. lots of people wanting things at the

Pupils have been fully engaged with business ideas, working hard as a team, promoting our school in our community and thinking of those in need. They have thoroughly enjoyed the whole process and I feel it has been a good opportunity for them to see into their futures, a taste of real life outside of the classroom.
