Week 7
Tell us what you have been doing this week
We were stressed about making enough bookmarks and comics in time for selling. Everyone was working hard, and if one group had finished they would help a unfinished group.
What did you learn this week?
We learned to cooperate with each other while still making progress.
What did you find difficult this week?
Some people were slowing down progress and we ended up running out of tassles for the bookmarks.

Bookmark production Line

We sold them at breaktimes every day this week.

Week 8
Tell us what you have been doing this week
This week, we have been successfully selling comics and bookmarks and making extra if we sell out. We sold them by going class to class and letting them buy what they want.
The Kitchen Kronicals sold out most and the Weirdos were also very popular so we had to print more. The Terry The Toast bookmark sold out twice. We think that it sold out quicker because its like toy story but with food. At the end of the week we had sold most of them but some weren't so popular.
What did you learn this week?
We learnt to work as a team because we had to communicate with some people that we don't really talk to. And we had to use our maths to calculate all the money. We also learnt how to vocally advertise.
What did you find difficult this week?
We had to sacrifice our breaktime and in our school, breaktime is VERY IMPORTANT!!! Alot of people argued and it was not always easy to work as a team.
Week 9
Tell us what you have been doing this week
In the duration of our final week we have managed to count up all of our profits formed in the activity of selling our comic books and book marks. The grand total of money that us at Penny Bridge raised is £152.80 not including the £50 starting fund sent by the Royal Navy, all of our efforts have been devoted to raising money for Cancer Research so that we are able to form a difference and conquer this vile disease.
What did you learn this week?
The many life lessons that we have branded into our minds consist of social awareness cues hightened by the selling segment, cooperative working elegance and arts and crafts skills. In the grand scheme of things we have most likely been developing extraordinary abilities in our minds to remember.
What did you find difficult this week?
Despite all of the conveneinces we still succumbed to many inconveneinces such as debates over peoples comic book preferences or arguments towards working standards. but we still maintain respect.
For pupils to answer:
In one sentence please tell us what bright stars has meant to you?
Working as a team with year 5 and 6 and its been a valuable learning experience and we got to work with our peers creatively.
For teachers to answer:
Can you tell us the impact this programme has had on your school?
It has enabled the children to learn what it really means to work as a team (not just getting a long but lsitening and compromising). I think it has also shown them the reality of being cost effective and leading others as often they found it very difficult but they always managed to resolve it. They realised leadership wasn't jsut a popularity contest and a good leader has to be assertive and understandi ng or it slows down the proceedings. It has also set a wonderful example to the younger year groups who found the concept of buying the comics and book marks form the year 6s very exciting.
