“I Believe in You”, is designed to offer personalised support to young people facing challenges and setbacks, helping them to overcome obstacles and achieve their potential. This unique project offers young people expert support and guidance from the Centre for Leadership Performance, which will be enriched NIS employees models through mentoring and shadowing experiences. The project aims to utilise positive role models from NIS to share their career journeys, offer objective guidance and provide hope and inspiration to young people who are struggling to find the right path for them.

Who Can Take Part?
The programme is open to young people aged 16–25, living in Cumbria or Chorley, Lancashire.
We’ll work closely with each participant to understand their needs and create a personalised plan including:
This programme is ideal for anyone facing challenges or feeling unsure about their next steps. For example, if you’re currently on a course or in education that doesn’t feel like the best route, feeling anxious about your future, or in employment that you don’t think is right for you. Whatever you tell us will be treated in confidence. While NIS Ltd is an engineering and manufacturing company, it is not essential for you to have an interest in these areas to take part in the programme.
Programme Timeline
Applications open in October 2025 and will continue to be received on a rolling process. The support will start in December 2025 and run to June 2026. The programme of support can be arranged around any existing commitments such as college or work, at a time that is convenient to you.
