CforLP are launching a new mentoring programme, funded by Sellafield Limited’s SiX – social impact multiplied, for people aged 16 to 30 in West Cumbria who would benefit from some extra support, encouragement and someone to talk things through with.
Mentors can help to:
You do not need to have everything figured out. This programme is not about pressure or having all the answers. It’s about being matched with someone who will listen, encourage you and help you make sense of your goals and next steps.

If you’re aged between 16-30 and live in West Cumbria, you can apply to become a mentee (the person being supported!)
If you are employed, please check with your organisation that you are able to take part before signing up, especially if any training or mentoring sessions may take place during working hours.
We’re planning two cohorts with start dates in:
Through the application process, CforLP will learn more about you and your interests and goals, and carefully match you with a mentor from the local business community.
Mentors and mentees will meet on a one-to-one basis at times that are convenient to you. Sessions usually last for around 1 hour, and can be either in person or online, over a 6 month period.

Anyone can become a mentor! The CforLP team carefully match mentors to young people based on skills, experience and background.
CforLP will support mentors through an initial mentor training session, a mid-way action learning session and regular check ins.
