Engineering Apprenticeships – NW Total Engineered Solutions (Barrow & Carlisle)

NW Total Engineered Solutions is recruiting apprentices for its Level 3 Metal Fabricator and Level 3 Engineering Fitter programmes, delivered in partnership with Lakes College.

These are full-time, paid apprenticeships based across sites in Barrow-in-Furness and Carlisle (Bendalls Engineering), offering the opportunity to build practical, hands-on engineering skills over a four-year programme.

Apprentices will gain real workplace experience within the defence and nuclear supply chains, working alongside experienced engineers while developing core technical skills that support long-term careers in the industry.

The programme includes structured training and workplace learning, helping individuals gain the knowledge, confidence, and experience needed to succeed in engineering roles.

Key details:

• Applicants must be 18 or over at the start of the programme
• Year 1 includes full-time residential college weeks in Carlisle, with accommodation provided at no cost
• The apprenticeship is fully paid throughout
