Pride in North Cumbria Youth Programme – Summer Activities (Carlisle)

Pride in North Cumbria is running a series of inclusive youth sessions throughout August, offering young people the opportunity to take part in creative and discussion-based activities in Carlisle.

These sessions explore themes such as equality, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, identity, and community, helping young people build confidence and better understand the world around them in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Activities across the programme include:

• Global Food (6 August): exploring cultures through food, cooking and shared experiences
• Disability Rights & Inclusion (13 August): activities focused on accessibility, awareness, and inclusion
• LGBTQ+ Film & Media (20 August): exploring representation in film and media
• Creative Equality (27 August): creative sessions including art and positive messaging

The programme aims to create a safe space where young people can express themselves, connect with others, and reflect on how communities can be more welcoming and inclusive.

Sessions take place at LGBT HQ, Carlisle.
