Week 1
Team name: Fluff Friends
Tell us what you have been doing this week
The class started the process of developing their social enterprise by voting and collaboratively brainstorming. They settled on a few ideas including: Brownies, bath bombs, smoothies, ice lollies, mystery boxes, wellie plant pots and sock teddies. After a democratic vote they settled on sock teddies and feel as though it is a gap in the market.
What did you learn this week?
Creativity is key to success, the importance of trial and error, create plans, good things take time/patience, concentration is vital.
What did you find difficult this week?
Trying to think of lots of ideas and trying to narrow it down to just one.
Week 2
Tell us what you have been doing this week
The class developed the prototype of the sock teddies and then helped the rest of class learn how to make them so they could all have a go and make as many as possible. The class learned to sew so that they could turn their socks into products. Everyone brought in/donated their own socks so that no expense was taken out of the seed fund.
What did you learn this week?
Be careful when sewing, be careful when teaching people, creativity is very important in this stage to create a desirable product. Learning how to thread a needle.
What did you find difficult this week?
the class found sewing difficult.
Week 3
Tell us what you have been doing this week
On week three the class brainstormed local and relevant charities. Cancer research, CAFOD, Diabetes UK, Mary's meals, Salvation Army, Barrow Hospital. We settled on Diabetes UK as Dexter and Jackson in the school personally live with diabetes so it is particularly social relevant.
What did you learn this week?
It is important, to give to charity especially ones that are socially relevant to the class.
What did you find difficult this week?
There were so many good charities to pick from it was difficult to narrow it down and agree on just one.
Week 4
Tell us what you have been doing this week
The brand name was developed (Fluff Friends); posters were designed and created indicating the price and for the charity cause (Diabetes UK). The class also did more sewing and creating of the fluff friends.
What did you learn this week?
Teamwork and collaborative idea making and designing. Further developed the sewing skills and crafting.
What did you find difficult this week?
It was difficult for the class to agree on a single idea but had to use collaboration, compromise and teamwork.
Week 5
Tell us what you have been doing this week
We brought everything together. We sold over 90 of the items and we looked at how much money we had made. We started the video and looking at photos we had taken and recording each other working on the project.
What did you learn this week?
That we all need to work well as a group.
What did you find difficult this week?
Bringing things together and working as a team can be challenging especially when we need to be more independent.
Week 6 - Half Term
Tell us what you have been doing this week
This week while the class were off, the teacher posted on dojo about the remaining fluff friends that need to be sold so that they could be sold on the week back of the half term.
What did you learn this week?
During the holiday the designed some more posters at home.
What did you find difficult this week?
Learning to continue with work during time off.
Week 7
Tell us what you have been doing this week
The class sold the remaining fluff friends and added the total together to calculate total profit. The video was continued to be made.

Coming back to the project after having a week off was difficult but the class picked it up and focused on selling the remaining fluff friends.
