Dream Placement Sponsors and Partner Organisations

Sponsoring Dream Placement gives your business or organisation the opportunity to make a real difference for young people in Cumbria. Your support helps fund life-changing development sessions, workshops, and potential week-long placements, while also enabling SMEs, charities, and organisations from less well-known sectors to get involved. Sponsors help young people gain confidence, workplace skills, and career insight, while showcasing your business and demonstrating your commitment to developing the next generation of leaders. With tailored sponsorship packages available, it’s a chance to connect with future talent and support an inclusive, county-wide programme.

For Dream Placement 2023 we secured funding from Copeland Community Fund and the CLEP to support nine smaller companies and those from less well-known sectors to get involved in the programme, which really helped to showcase careers in the nuclear supply chain and beyond nuclear. This increased the variety of opportunities for the young people of Cumbria and helped to showcase more thriving and innovative businesses within West Cumbria.

Thanks to funding from the Printers Inc Social Mobility Fund through the Cumbria Community Foundation and Nuclear Waste Services’ LLWR socio-economic fund, SMEs in sectors including arts, tourism, and culture can now access support to cover placement costs. Find out more
