Leading Change – Long-term Impact

This page is currently under development. It will highlight the longer term impacts of taking part in Leading Change as a student, school, business or volunteer.

Business Impact

Why Get Involved with Leading Change?

Let’s hear what our business mentors have to say about why they chose to take part in the Leading Change programme.

Our business mentors speak powerfully about their experience with Leading Change.
Jackie Jackson from Thomas Jardine & Co says “every business owner should really consider taking part.”

Rachel Land from Galliford Try shares that they have “really enjoyed getting involved with young people and helping them develop.”

Join a growing network of local businesses investing in young people in Cumbria.

Student Impact

Leading Change gives young people the opportunity to take meaningful steps into leadership, supported every step of the way by teachers, business mentors and Centre for Leadership Performance.

Through the programme, students build confidence, develop decision-making skills and learn how to make a positive impact in their community. It’s a structured, supportive experience that helps them grow, not just as learners, but as leaders.

Hear from the teachers involved.

Anita Nieyst, teacher at James Rennie School, shares that the programme has helped her students feel “important and visible within the community.”

Tracy Hill, teacher at William Howard School, says it has “developed their skills as leaders and been an exciting opportunity.”
