Week 1

Team name: Buzz and Bloom

Tell us what you have been doing this week

This week: On the 23rd, we decided on our team name (Buzz and Bloom), which products we'd make and sell and created potential logos for our project. On the 25th, BAE came to visit us and talked to us about the importance of sustainability for our project. BAE also chose the winning logo which we'd use (as we couldn't decide!) We also completed some job role applications a team is made up of bountiful roles. Finally, we took a photo with the £50 from the special golden envelope that we kindly received to fund this exciting opportunity.

What did you learn this week?

We learned that several brains are better than one. We also learned the importance of democracy (voting) and allowing all ideas and voices to be heard. It was also a challenge to make sure that our ideas were creative but also beneficial to people and the environment.

What did you find difficult this week?

We found it tricky to create a logo which was both intricate as well as clear.

Week 3

Tell us what you have been doing this week

This week, we have been finishing our promotion posters and started putting them up round school. We have also made some more book marks as we felt the designs needed to be more eye-catching. On iPads, we have started to create our designs for our seed packets, as we want the packets to have inspirational and smile inducing messages on them. We were excited to make our video advert to promote our project and encourage sales. It took several takes (memorising the lines) as we were determined to get it right. On the 9th May, BAE visited from 9-10am and the production part commenced.

This was also lovely to share all our experiences so far with Ofsted, as we had them in the day before and on the day of our first sale.

Working as a team and helping our community.
